China National Drug Administration establish an expert working group to promote synthetic alternatives to wildlife used in TCM

The group is composed of 20 professionals from 16 different institutions across the country. Together, they cover TCM clinical practice and resources, as well as pharmacy, pharmacology and toxicology, standards, testing, review, and bioenzyme engineering. The role of the group is said to provide technical support and advice on policies and technical requirements for substitutes of endangered species used in TCM.
